Safety

AVERTEX believes that health and safety is a core value and a cornerstone of the foundation on which the company was built. As such, every effort is made to ensure that the workplace is a safe and healthy place to work. Recognizing that our work environment is continually changing, with the implementation of new procedures and modifications to old ones, all employees are mandated to continually review their daily activities with an eye to reducing the risk of injury.

To enhance this, we investigate every accident, property damage and employee injury to track the success of our safety program. We then reassess our program regularly to ensure that it is facilitating the desired results and that it meets or exceeds today’s laws and job site requirements.

In order to ensure we are walking the talk and doing what we can to promote and facilitate a healthy work environment AVERTEX obtained our COR Certification. The Certificate of Recognition program (COR™) is an occupational health and safety accreditation program that verifies a fully implemented safety & health program which meets national standards.

AVERTEX is committed to helping employees perform to the high standards set by the company. We ensure our employees are competent with regard to their specific duties and confident in their ability to perform those duties. Each employee receives, as part of their training, instruction in safe work practices and procedures that apply to working in the construction industry and for their specific duties in particular.

Although AVERTEX is ultimately responsible for worker health and safety, employees at all levels are committed to making health and safety an integral part of this organization.
